A boat is the one bachelor or bachelorette plan that works for the whole group: the ones who want to fish, the ones who want to float at a sandbar with a drink, and the ones who just want to be out of the house in the sun. We run all three from Sebastian Inlet, between Melbourne Beach and Vero Beach and under an hour from Cocoa Beach, and every trip is private — nobody on the boat but your party.

Three Ways to Do It

The Fishing Day

The classic bachelor party. A half day inshore for snook, redfish and trout on the lagoon and the inlet, a full day that adds the reefs outside, or a shark trip if the groom wants something to talk about for years. Rods, bait, licences and fish cleaning are included; whatever you keep comes home bagged for the grill that night.

The Sandbar Day

The bachelorette favourite. We run out to a sandbar or one of the spoil islands, anchor in clear water a few feet deep, and the day is yours: floats, music, wading, shark-tooth hunting, photos with nothing behind you but water and sky. The Sandbar Charter is four hours; the Island Hopping trip adds more stops and a full-day option.

The Sunset Finish

If the group is arriving through the day, the Sunset Tour leaves at 4pm and puts everyone on the water for the last hour of light, with the dolphins feeding and the lagoon flat. It is the easiest four hours of the weekend and the one everyone photographs.

Bigger Groups

Our boat takes six. For parties up to eighteen we run two or three boats together with partner captains, same water, same plan, anchored side by side at the sandbar or spread out on the fish. Each boat is priced as its own trip, so a twelve-person sandbar day is two half-day charters. Tell us the headcount and we will set it up.

The House Rules

Drinks: bring your own beer and seltzer, cans only, no glass, no hard liquor. Water and ice are a good idea too; it is Florida. The captain keeps the day safe and can call it if it stops being safe — in years of running these it has almost never come to that.

What to bring: sunscreen, hats, towels, a cooler of drinks and food, a speaker if you want music, water shoes for the sandbar. We have shade on the boat and none on the sandbar.

Timing: half days run 8–12, 12–4 and 4–8. For a party the midday and sunset slots are the popular ones.

Where You Are Staying

Most of our party groups are in a rental on the barrier island — Melbourne Beach, Indialantic, Satellite Beach — or in Vero or Cocoa Beach. Sebastian Inlet is twenty minutes from Melbourne Beach and Vero and under an hour from Cocoa Beach. We send the exact meeting point when you book. Planning the rest of the weekend? Things to do in Vero Beach and around Sebastian Inlet.

Book the Party Boat

Every trip is private — just your group on the boat, up to six guests. Tell Captain Richard Ladrew your dates and roughly what time of day suits you. He is on the water most days and gets back to you the same day. A $100 deposit holds the date and comes off the total.
