Step 3 of 3
Hold Your Date
A $100 deposit locks the boat in for your group.
Check with Captain Richard first. Every trip is private, and slots book up, so your date and time need confirming before a deposit means anything. If you haven’t spoken to him yet, call 321-412-2440 or send your dates and he’ll come back to you the same day.
Already confirmed? Send your deposit
Your deposit comes off the total. Nothing else is due until the trip is over.
Holds your date — any trip, any length
Send $100 with VenmoOr search @zookeepercharters in the Venmo app
Put this in the note
So the deposit lands against the right day, include:
- Your name
- The trip date and start time
- Which trip — half day, full day, sandbar, sunset, and so on
For example: “Dave Miller — Oct 14, 8am — half day inshore.”
What happens next
- Captain Richard writes your trip into the calendar and confirms he has it.
- He’ll go over the meeting spot and what to bring closer to the day.
- The balance is due at the end of the trip — CASH (preferred), Zelle, Venmo or PayPal.
Cancellations
More than 72 hours before your trip, you can move it to another date or cancel for a full refund. Just call and tell Captain Richard what you need.
Inside 72 hours, the deposit is kept — whether you cancel or move the date. Moving a trip that close means a fresh deposit to hold the new slot.
The deposit is kept deliberately low because it does one job: it takes your slot off the board. From the moment it is held, other groups asking for that slot are turned away — and a slot handed back inside three days does not get filled again. That is the whole reason for the rule.
If Captain Richard cancels the trip for weather, your deposit is refunded in full or moved to another date — your choice. Weather is the captain’s call and safety decides it.
Questions before you send anything?
Call Captain Richard. He would rather talk it through than have you guess.
